About Me

My research interests broadly lie at the intersection of computational mechanics and artificial intelligence for modern engineering problem-solving and effective decision-making across a wide range of applications, including: health and bioscience, design and materials, digital twins, etc. I call my group Computational Mechanics and AI Laboratory (CoMAIL).

I was formerly a postdoc in the Laboratory for Intelligent Probabilistic Systems in Computer Science Department at Princeton University. My work was supported by an NSF Computing Innovation Postdoctoral Fellowship award. I received my PhD in the Mechanical Engineering Department at UC Berkeley, where I concurrently completed an MA degree in the Department of Mathematics. My PhD research was generously supported by NIH, AHA, UC Berkeley Graduate Division Block Grant Award, and UC Berkeley William S. Floyd Jr. Fellowship. Previously, I obtained an MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology. My multidisciplinary research was featured in Princeton University Press, and have been recognized by several distinguished awards such as JBME Editors' Choice Paper, JTH Editors’ Highlight and Cover Photo, ASME-BED Student Paper Competition Finalist, and recognition through the UC Berkeley Bakar Innovation Fellowship.
